* "Noggin & Natter" - 3rd Wednesday of every month, from 8pm at the Sir Walter Tyrell - This is near the Rufus Stone near Brook in the New Forest.  All Singer enthusiasts welcome.  Contact John Horne on 01425 658260 for further details.

* "Noggin & Natter" - South West & South Wales area - 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8pm. Our monthly meetings will now be held at The Major’s Retreat. This pub is in the centre of Tormarton village approx 1mile north east of junction 18 of the M4 motorway. The beer is good and the landlord convivial! All members welcome. * "Noggin & Natter" - Sunbeam Rapier Chilterns Area invite you to join them at their meetings from 8pm on the third Monday of each month at the Leather Bottle, Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. (Turn south off the A414 onto the A4147). All Rootes and Chrysler club members welcome. During the summer ‘away meetings’ are held, so make sure to check with Ron Atherton on 01525 221943, or Jerome Senn on 0208 458 5401 before you set out.
* "Noggin & Natter" -  Midlands Vehicle Preservation Society at the Royal British Legion Club, Kimberley Road, Baginton CV8 3AR - 1st Monday of each month at 7.30pm. All Singer enthusiasts welcome.  Please Note change of venue.
Scotia Classics Meets (formerly the Scottish Classic Car Owners Network) will be holding their informal meetings on the 1st Sunday of each month at 4pm on the car park of Showcase Cinemas Glasgow, Barrbridge Leisure Centre, Baillieston, Glasgow, G69 7TZ. Lunchtime Noggin and Natter in Norfolk - Meet at The King’s Head, Reepham in Norfolk at mid-day on the First Saturday of each month.  Open to all old car enthusiasts, and Singer owners particularly. 20-22 July 2012 - SNCR Weekend 2012  in the Ironbridge area of Shropshire.

Activities over the weekend are being organised by Nigel and Emma Hughes, and on page 6 of this Mascot is the second of Nigel’s communiqués on the arrangements.  Please note also Nigel’s advice not to delay booking your room, and contact the Valley Hotel as soon as possible on 01952 432247, quoting ‘Singer’ to secure the special lower ASCO room rate of £88 per night for a double or twin room, or £54 for a single, based upon a minimum 2-night stay.  B&B information will be sent with the next Mascot.





22 April 2012 - ASCO AGM  Our AGM will again be held on Drive-It-Day and in conjunction with the Great Bristol Classic Car Show at Shepton Mallet.  In with the Jan 2012 Mascot was the official Calling Notice, plus an Attendance Pro-forma to apply for your discounted tickets for the Show.  It is expected that the arrangements will be broadly similar to last year, when all the Singers were parked together on a ‘Singer Display’ adjacent to the main show hall, organised by the SW Singer Group for their Drive-It-Day Scatter Rally.  The SW Singer group are also having a Singer Stand in the Main Exhibition Hall, so this promises to be a great day out - Please put this Very Important Date in your Diary Now!

Classic Car Meet at Dean Gate Inn, Basingstoke.  Unfortunately the Dean Gate Inn is currently closed so we have suspended further meetings.  We hope to restart in the Spring of 2012 subject to the pub re-opening or whether we can come up with another venue….  Please watch this Space!!  Noel Catt.




21 - 22 April 2012 - Great Bristol Classic Car Show .  On the Sunday, the SW Area Group will be running a “Drive It Day” scatter rally, arriving at the show at 12 O`clock.  If you can help on the Singer Stand at the Show, please contact either Robert Lovegrove 01761 221413, or Nick Warren 01666 577363.

Dutch Rally - 30th April to 6th May 2012.   Based on a Canal Cruise, we will use the canal barge as a floating B&B, with the days out in our Singers.  Once again Val and Alan Carter have kindly agreed to act as co-ordinators for both ASCO and the SOC.  and if you would like to take part, please contact Val and Alan on 01908 281951, or e-mail: valan@singer4.plus.com for details.


13 May - Southampton Magna's 18th International New Forest Charity Car Run - through beautiful New Forest scenery and curious competitions during the day, and supporting Clic Sargent & other Rotary Charities. 8-10 June 2012 The Beale Park Boat Show. All Classic Car owners are invited. Beale Park is on the banks of the Thames near Pangbourne, Berkshire.
