23-24-25 July - Singer National Car Weekend - 2010. ASCO’s annual event will this year be held in the Swindon area. The programme is:
Friday 23rd - Swindon Designer Outlet and Swindon Railway Museum
Saturday 24th - Studley Grange Butterfly/Craft Centre, Treasure Hunt to Avebury Pre-historic site, with picnic around the Stones, Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum.
Saturday 24th evening - Club Dinnerat Biddestone Arms near Chippenham
Sunday 25th. - SNCR at The Pound, Laycock, a National Trust site, including the Village, Laycock Abbey and Grounds and the Fox Talbot (photographic)Museum.
4th-5th Sept - Coventry Festival of Motoring 2010. Come and join us at the shared
ASCO/SOC Singer stand in the Memorial Park, Coventry.
14 August - Kirkstall Classic Car Show, raising funds for St. Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds,
in the historic grounds of Kirkstall Abbey, where you will find the large abbey,
an interesting museum, visitor centre and coffee shop etc. To enter, send your Name,
address and car details to Steve Waldenberg, 39 Winding Way, Leeds LS17 7RG, with
an A5 SAE if possible. There is no fixed entry fee, please send whatever you feel
you can afford and make your cheque payable to “Kirkstall Classic Rally”
19 September - Gaydon Autumn Classic - Heritage Motor Centre. Club Peugeot Rally,
Autojumble, Rover SD1 Club Spares Day2, Gaydon Autumn Cream Tea Run.
11-12 September - Beaulieu Autumn Autojumble - Once again we shall have a Club Stand,
No 58 in the Green Field, at Bealieu, and this year Bill Haverly, our spares co-ordinator
will be back. We shall be displaying spares, regalia and general items. Do come
and see us for a chat, and to leave any purchases for safe keeping whilst you continue
rummaging through those boxes of old car bits, looking for the elusive gem.
